Born and raised in Alberta, Jennifer moved to Camrose County six years ago and quickly became an active member of the community. With a strong educational background in finance and accounting, she built an 18-year career as a Financial Planner before deciding to leave the corporate sector to focus on charitable work.
Jennifer joined Habitat for Humanity Camrose in November 2022 as Finance Manager, bringing exceptional expertise in financial planning, accounting, and tax management. Her dedication and leadership saw her take on expanded responsibilities, covering both Finance Manager and Executive Director roles in 2025. Her appointment to Executive Director recognizes her deep commitment to Habitat’s mission and her proven ability to lead the organization forward.
Outside of her work with Habitat, Jennifer is a passionate supporter of the Camrose Animal Shelter and continues to contribute her time and skills to causes that make a positive impact in the community.
Laura Fuson
With over 25 years of financial experience, Laura Fuson serves as Manager of Family Services for Habitat for Humanity Camrose, where mission and money come together to create lasting change. Passionate about helping families build strong financial foundations, she is dedicated to guiding clients on the journey toward purchasing their forever home.
Throughout her career, Laura has worked closely with individuals and families to strengthen financial stability through education, planning, and personalized support. Specializing in financial literacy, budgeting, credit readiness, and homeownership preparation, she empowers families with the knowledge and confidence needed to make informed decisions.
Known for being reliable, trustworthy, and deeply family-focused, Laura believes that homeownership is more than a transaction — it is a milestone that creates security, opportunity, and generational impact. Every family’s success is personal, and she is committed to walking alongside clients every step of the way.

Stewart McKenzie
With over 25 years of experience in commercial construction, this accomplished Construction Manager brings extensive field expertise, strong leadership, and an unwavering commitment to safety and quality on every project. A Red Seal Journeyman and Certified National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO), he combines hands-on trade knowledge with strategic oversight to successfully deliver complex, large-scale developments across Western Canada.
Throughout his career, he has played key roles in several landmark projects, including the iconic Bow Tower, the Muttart Conservatory, TELUS Sky, Brookfield Place, and the remarkable Columbia Icefield Skywalk. His involvement in these high-profile projects reflects his ability to manage complex schedules, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and uphold rigorous safety and quality standards.
Known for his collaborative leadership style and results-driven mindset, he oversees all phases of construction—from pre-construction planning and budgeting through execution and project closeout—ensuring efficiency, accountability, and excellence throughout the build process.
Outside of his professional responsibilities, he values time spent with family and enjoys camping and vacationing whenever possible. An avid foodie, he has a particular passion for smoking meat and grilling, bringing the same patience, attention to detail, and craftsmanship to the barbecue as he does to his projects.
Dean Auger
With a background in management and previous experience working with nonprofit organizations, Dean brings a strong appreciation for community, hard work, and practical leadership. He is currently pursuing a university education in Accounting and Human Resource Management to further strengthen his knowledge in financial stewardship and people-focused leadership.Dean joined Habitat for Humanity Camrose in May 2025. In his role, he oversees financial operations and supports the administrative functions that help the organization run effectively. He values being part of a team dedicated to building strength, stability, and self-reliance through affordable homeownership.Outside of work and school, Dean works with children in the community and volunteers with the Camrose and Animal Shelter Society. He enjoys spending time with his family, being outdoors, and values being part of a supportive, family-centered community.
Roger Goldsmith
Roger joined the ReStore team in December 2024, bringing with him more than 30 years of retail experience and over 40 years in management. What was meant to be a part-time retirement role—just a couple of days a week—quickly grew into something more. As Roger puts it, “I wouldn’t be doing this if I didn’t love it.”
And it shows. Roger’s genuine love for people shines through in every interaction, whether he’s helping customers or supporting his team. His sense of humor and easy laughter are contagious, creating a welcoming, upbeat atmosphere for everyone who walks through the door.

What it means to be a Habitat board member
Our Board of Directors provides guidance and leadership on the strategic direction of Habitat for Humanity Edmonton Society. To be eligible, applicants must live, work, or volunteer in the jurisdiction of our Society. The Habitat for Humanity Board of Directors (BOD) is fully insured for liability and is governed by the Bylaws of the Society. Candidates interested in serving on the BOD should be fully conversant with and comfortable with Habitat’s vision and values.
Interested in becoming a board member?
In terms of skills and experience, we seek candidates with Board Governance experience who can contribute in the following areas:
- Legal
- Banking/Finance/Accounting
- Real Estate/Land Development
- Marketing and Public Relations
- Technology Transformation
- Construction
Commitment
All board directors will be expected to:
- Attend all board meetings including four regularly scheduled board meetings and any special board meetings scheduled as needed.
- Participate on either the Audit and Risk Committee or the Governance and Human Resources Committee of the Board (four in-person/teleconference committee meetings annually).
- Schedule 2 – 4 hours for preparation prior to each meeting, in addition to meeting and travel time.
- Attend other critical events(e.g. Volunteer Appreciation event, Habitat Day, Home Dedication Ceremonies, Golf Tournament, the Habitat annual Open House, etc).
- Add value through participation in special projects.
- Attend the Annual General Meeting, in late May.
- Attend the Strategic Planning event.
- Assist the organization to expand its resource base by sharing expertise and by providing access to personal or professional contacts who may be interested in contributing to Habitat Edmonton’s success.
